Science + Sacred
In today's landscape, where non-ordinary states of consciousness (NOSC) training programs tend to specialize narrowly in either the clinical or shamanic frameworks for healing with psychedelics, the VulCon Way  multidisciplinary certification, offers our students a unique educational pathway that integrates clinical approaches with ancient, cross-cultural frameworks from the elements and our ancestors.

The VulCon Way caters to both licensed and unlicensed professionals, offering a comprehensive education that melds clinical and traditional approaches to facilitation. Our VulCoaches and VulCounselors excel in their ability to integrate clinically driven safety and trauma-informed protocols with a deep respect for the ancient wisdom and practices of our ancestors.

Through this comprehensive education, VulCon-trained practitioners emerge uniquely equipped to bridge the gap between the scientific and the spiritual, offering a holistic and profoundly transformative approach towards NOSC and psychedelics facilitation.
Hybrid + Engaging Education
The VulCon educational journey is designed to blend online and in-person learning, combining pre-recorded classes, bi-monthly live virtual sessions, and hands-on, in-person training through immersive retreats. This approach equips our students with the skills and knowledge needed to offer the highest standards of care to their clients and communities. For our advanced facilitators, we also provide opportunities for continuous development, including supervision by licensed professionals, group practicums, and ongoing support from peers and the community, ensuring they have the resources to grow and evolve in their facilitation roles.
Competence + Confidence
By earning the VulCon Way Certification in Psychedelics/NOSC states, our graduates increase proficiency in trauma-informed care, enabling them to deliver more holistic services to individuals and groups. They gain deep knowledge of the best practices for NOSC spaces, focusing on preparation and integration techniques. This education includes beginning through advanced counseling and coaching skills, with a strong emphasis on enhanced safety protocols. As a result, our facilitators are equipped with both the confidence and competence to provide the highest level of care.
VulCon Praise

The program is a perfect fit for anyone seeking to guide others through non-ordinary states of consciousness with integrity and care. I wholeheartedly recommend The VulCon Way to anyone eager to bring the transformative magic of healing to others in a balanced, safe and fun manner."

Our Emerging Facilitators
The VulCon Way attracts students from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise. While some come with a strong clinical foundation, others bring rich experiences from spiritual, traditional, and ceremonial facilitation. Regardless of their starting point, all share a keen interest in enhancing their understanding and safety practices within both clinical and ceremonial dimensions of psychedelics and other NOSC facilitation. They are united by a fascination with the sacred, traditional, and ceremonial origins of psychedelic medicine and facilitation.

We honor the individuality of our facilitators and work to help each member cultivate their unique style in facilitating NOSC sessions. This honoring allows our emerging practitioners to develop specialized tools necessary to provide the most well-rounded, safe, and sacred experiences for their clients and communities to experience long-lasting and potent healing transformations.
VulCon Praise
"The insight and knowledge I have gained from the VulCon Mentorship program have been profound, deeply moving, and completely necessary for ANYONE who is called to serve from a place of sacred leadership. Working in the NOSC space in any capacity, without the foundation and fundamentals that the Vulcon Mentorship provides, is profoundly irresponsible and doesn't honor the sacred work that this is.

The curriculum is anchored in the vibrant history of those who have come before us but also weaves in the relevant and current requirements of the present through the seasoned and real-life experience of the VulCon mentors. It can be deeply challenging, and purposefully so.

The VulCon mentors have masterfully built a bridge between the deeply complex history and tools of the past and the current structure we must work within to provide a responsible, safe, and nurturing experience for both the practitioners and clients we seek to serve.

This program has given me the confidence to move forward with the work I am called to do. It has further deepened my understanding and need for continual introspection, "gut-checking," and relationship with this work to ensure I stay in alignment with the sacred leader I strive to be."

VulCon Praise
"I found my way to psychedelic medicine by way of extreme heartbreak, grief, and loss. I was in a very dark place and losing hope of finding my way out. There is no way I could have imagined the transformation that has happened in my life because I opened myself up to this unknown path.

Like most paths in life, we must do a lot of sifting through muck and mediocrity to find the gems. VulCon is truly that gem. Mandi and Corin are brilliant, genuine, clever as hell, mediocre twerkers, and wise beyond their years. They have really built something amazing based on their education and years of experience. Also, there’s a lot of bird stuff. A LOT.

They have created an amazing training program for the psychedelic medicine world that is extremely professional and filled with love. The combination of
online courses, never ending homework, and hands-on training have been perfect. I feel like I’m truly gaining the skills I need to enter the psychedelic medicine world and make a difference."

"It is evident that Corin and Mandi are preparing people to be conscientious and ethical as the foundation to operating in the NOSC field. VulCon training spans from the broad to the specific, from the ancient to the contemporary.

It includes materialistic aspects and the animistic, considers the internal psyche and the heart of community, and asks us to deeply explore relationship and responsibility. The magic really takes off as we cultivate our connection and awareness to the allies and I look forward to seeing where it goes from here."

AUTUMN LEIGH BAYLISS
Art Therapist and Luminary
Meet Your Instructors and Mystresses of Ceremony, Mandi and Corin.
Corin Grillo, MA, LMFT is a Marriage and Family Therapist, an internationally renowned Transformational Leader, Author, and Educator. Her roots are from Puerto Rico, while her Chicana side hails from East Los Angeles.

She graduated from UCLA in Cultural Anthropology, and received her  Master’s Degree in Depth Psychology at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Carpinteria, CA.  She has also  trained with California Institute of Integrated Studies and  the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (MAPS).

Her passion for cross-cultural indigenous studies began in undergraduate school, as did her passion for psychology, ritual, and altered states of consciousness.

After years of supporting clients as a traditional psychotherapist, her career transitioned to facilitating and mentoring others in intuitive healing, ritual, and ceremony.  This transition was ignited by a mystical experience that put her in direct relationship with her guides and angels. This profound event led her to shamanic, ceremonial, and plant medicine work which deepened her relationship with the intelligences of the natural world, the ancestral world, and the allies of the spiritual realms.

For over a decade, Corin has led ceremonial retreats and has educated coaches, healers, nurses, doctors, and therapists in sacred leadership. She supports both practitioners and non-practitioners in exploring, opening,  and expanding their intuitive senses, natural healing abilities, and creating an authentic relationship with spirit through ritual, ceremony, and nature-based immersions.
Because of her far-reaching work, Corin has been featured as an expert on Gaia and countless other syndicated media outlets, radio shows, and podcasts all over the world.

She is a co-founder and Chief Luminary with the aWake Community, a non-dogmatic, inclusive registered church that actively works to deconstruct toxic patriarchal religious harm, and offers its community members a safe, non-judgemental, organic pathway to explore sacred communion with their authentic self, and the divinity and healing power of nature, the ancestors, and plant sacraments.

She is also the proprietor of Casa Condor, a retreat center in the sacred lands of Mount Shasta, California which is the primary sanctuary of the aWake Community.
Mandi Stevenson, LMFT is a seasoned professional who seamlessly blends psychology with holistic healing practices. With a background in Modern Dance (B.F.A.) and a Counseling Psychology degree (M.A.) from Pacifica Graduate Institute, Mandi brings a wealth of experience to her work.

She began her career in private practice, helping clients ranging from children to couples, and addressing various issues including domestic violence and substance abuse. In 2014, she shifted her focus to specialize in assisting adults with substance dependence and mental wellness concerns. Throughout her career, Mandi has excelled in various roles, from primary therapist to clinical director, spanning residential, intensive outpatient, and outpatient treatment programs. Her innovation extends to startup initiatives, where she developed multiple clinical treatment protocols.

Today, Mandi operates a thriving private practice, with expertise in trauma-informed care, substance use dependence, and integration work post Non-Ordinary States of Consciousness experiences. She's presented at multiple conferences on psychedelics and research and co-teaches courses on the interplay of Alchemy and Shamanism practices.

Mandi's impressive training includes EMDR certification, completion of the California Institute of Integral Studies' program for Psychedelic Assisted Psychotherapies and Research, and ongoing studies in Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy and neurofeedback. Her deep interest in Shamanic Witchcraft, particularly Aromatics, reflects her commitment to holistic healing and spiritual exploration.
Beyond her clinical work, Mandi is a co-founder and Chief Luminary of the aWake Community, a non-dogmatic registered church dedicated to deconstructing harmful religious norms. This community provides a safe space for exploring sacred connections with the self, nature, alchemy, and ancestral roots.

With a profound understanding of the human psyche and Alchemy, Mandi is passionately devoted to guiding individuals on their wellness journey. Her approach is grounded in depth psychology and an integrative framework, ensuring each person's unique path is embraced and celebrated.
